Holiday art show
The annual Centennial Art Center students and staff holiday exhibit and sale opened with a free reception from 5-8 Friday. This is a great opportunity to see the students and Faculty of Arts, and you can buy a one-of-a-kind gift from local artisans. The Gallery, which is the back of Centennial Park, at the corner of 25th Avenue North and Park Plaza, is open 9 a.m. to 5 nights
Berry Hill Festival
Free "Make Merry" Berry Hill Street Festival is 9 am until 4 am Saturday night, with the kid's zone, Wolf parade, street vendors and live entertainment. Berry Hill covers less than one square mile and is home to more than 400 businesses, including retail shops, eclectic restaurants, business and personal services office.
Nashville Symphony of praise
Nashville Symphony of praise free public concert performance at the Nashville rescue mission at 7 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at the mission and all are invited to attend. This family-friendly concert will include interesting and inspirational settings of hymns and songs of praise. It's going to be a wonderful evening of worship, and entertainment. No admission charge, but love offers the benefits of the mission would be welcome to help serve the homeless in Nashville.
"Marriage of Figaro"
Vanderbilt Vanderbilt University Theatre and the Opera Orchestra will present "The Marriage of Figaro" this weekend in an interactive creative collaboration with the Department of Vanderbilt in cinema and Media art. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Sunday 14:00. Free of charge.
Theatre at Lipscomb
Lipscomb University musical theatre autumn is "she loves me" — the storyline that inspired the Tom Hanks film "you got Mail" — and there is six show at Lipscomb's Collins Alumni Auditorium. Show times are 7:30 Nov. 10-11 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 12. The ticket is $15 for adults and $5 for students.
